Detection of biofilms and high levels of microorganisms in the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries is a constant challenge.
Using the BioDtex Lamps UV-A technology instantly highlights contaminants, such as biofilms, organic and inorganic soil on surfaces in real time, making it an ideal monitoring system for Technical, Quality and Hygiene teams to help improve cleaning and disinfection systems to eliminate biofilms and improve surface hygiene standards using targeted interventions.
BioDtex is equipped with specially designed LEDs to detect microorganisms on surfaces. The microorganisms emit a distinct fluorescence, ranging from blue to green. At any stage of biofilm development, BioDtex LEDs can detect it, producing a pronounced green response.
The BioDtex lamp’s image capture feature enhances controls by providing a clear visual record of surfaces, aiding in identifying high-risk areas and ensuring ongoing compliance with safety standards. Designed for professionals, BioDtex is intuitive and requires minimal maintenance, facilitating the monitoring and management of inspections.
The advanced technology of BioDtex clearly reveals pathogens in both dry and wet environments, ensuring the safety of products and manufacturing processes. A wise investment that optimises operational costs while enhancing the quality of safety controls.
BioDtex has been independently tested by Campden BRI on a range of bacterial organisms which can contribute to biofilms and has successfully detected all strains, including Listeria spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, E. Coli, Bacillus spp., Enterococcus spp., Cronobacter spp., Lactobacillus Spp., Campylobacter jejuni, Clostridium perfringens, Enterobacter cloacae, Vibrio spp. and Bacillus cereus.
