At Kersia, our people are at the heart of everything we do; a diverse team united by a common mission: to invent a food safe world. One of our newest team members bringing that mission to life is Isabel Gonzalez, Technical Sales Consultant for the Food & Beverage Division in Ireland. With over a decade of experience in the food industry and a deep-rooted commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation, Isabel is a dynamic addition to the Kersia family.
A Passion for Safe, Sustainable Food
Isabel’s career journey began with a strong foundation in agricultural engineering, a field she chose despite being, as she puts it, “extremely allergic to insects and pollen.” A sense of humour clearly goes hand-in-hand with her resilience and drive.
“I’ve always had a strong interest in food production,” Isabel explains. “As an agricultural engineer, it is especially important to me that the food we consume is safe, not only for our health but also for the environment.”
This dual focus — on human health and environmental responsibility — aligns perfectly with Kersia’s values. In her role, Isabel brings both technical expertise and strategic insight to help clients enhance hygiene processes, reduce environmental impact, and maintain high standards of food safety.
Building from the Ground Up
Her career is marked by a blend of hands-on operational experience and strategic leadership. One standout moment? Setting up an olive oil factory entirely from scratch.
“I was involved in every step; construction, installation of the line, purchasing, recruiting and training staff, and of course leading the first production run,” she recalls. “Being in charge of a factory is a responsibility I value deeply, but being part of its launch from the ground up was a completely different rewarding experience.”
This initiative showcases her ability to deliver tangible results, lead multidisciplinary teams, and navigate complex challenges; qualities that she now brings to her clients across Ireland.
Choosing Purpose and Values
For Isabel, joining Kersia was a deliberate and values-led decision.
“After years of working in the food industry, I wanted to join a company with strong values and a positive culture,” she says. “Kersia is committed to food safety, sustainability, and innovation, which perfectly aligns with the values I’ve pursued in my career.”
With a background as a Food Safety and Quality Technical Co-ordinator, Isabel has led initiatives to improve operational efficiency, stakeholder collaboration, and compliance. Her expertise is rooted in real-world experience, but her drive comes from a deeper place: making a difference in the world through safer, smarter food practices.
Thinking Big (and Fast)
Isabel is known for her practical mindset, but when asked what superpower she’d choose to enhance her work, she doesn’t hesitate.
“Teleportation,” she laughs. “Instantly travelling between locations would eliminate losing valuable time on the road, making me more efficient and responsive.”
Efficiency, innovation, and a sharp sense of humour, Isabel brings all of this and more to the Kersia Food & Beverage Division. We’re delighted to have her on board and look forward to seeing the impact she’ll make in the field.
Welcome to the team, Isabel!
