Kersia Committed & Different Programme 2024 – Steve Ackers

Steve Ackers, Investigational Research Manager at Kersia UK, is one of Kersia’s Committed and Different ambassadors. Having been part of the UK team for 17 years, Steve was keen to join the course as several of his colleagues have previously taken part and had such a positive experience. He knew that it would help him improve his own and his team’s working environment, enabling everyone to reach their full potential.

Here Steve talks about his experience of taking part and how he developed as an individual and working within a team:

“Taking part in the Committed and Different programme has been extremely rewarding for me. I have learnt so much and have already started to implement my learnings into my day-to-day work. One of the most important things I learnt is that when we work as a collective and listen closely to other people’s views and experiences, we can find better solutions that make a difference and have a positive impact. The whole process has been so rewarding.”

“The in-residence seminar in Paris was a very intense experience. The programme taught me so many new things. The whole group, including colleagues from around the world, developed as individuals and we formed a strong bond.

“My mindset has developed since taking part in the programme; my empathy towards people and certain situations has increased. I have also developed a flexible way of looking at things, particularly looking at issues from various perspectives before making a final decision on how to go forward.”

“I’m looking forward to continuing my development and developing the projects we worked on.”
