Today is World Food Safety Day
Today is World Food Safety Day and this year’s theme is ‘Safer Food, Better Health’. It aims to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development. It provides an opportunity for the sector to revisit hygiene routines, and to ensure all their teams are fully trained.
It’s a hugely important day for the whole of the food industry and we have developed various downloadable informative materials for our customers to use today and in training sessions throughout the year.
Our teams are supporting our customers in various activities including Martyn Jones who is working with the team at Mizkan in Bury St Edmunds to discuss hand washing and the stages of cleaning.
John Holah, Kersia Food Safety Expert, is taking part in an online seminar Food Safety Culture across and within the chocolate supply chain today at 4pm (GMT).
He will be alongside a number of other experts involved in each stage of the production of chocolate and he will share how food safety and food safety culture impact Kersia’s activities and how we individually work to ensure food safety whilst also working with suppliers, customers and consumers.
