International Women’s Day
Kersia UK marked International Women’s Day on 8th March by raising awareness of the importance of gender equality in business, especially within food hygiene, brewing, agriculture, chemical and STEM sectors.
Throughout the day we celebrated some of the inspirational women working for the Kersia UK business. We featured a selection of women from our team on our social media channels and website where they talked about what this important day means to them. They all have varying experience and skillsets including technical, sales, IT, R&D and operations, as well as working in diverse divisions within the business including farm, foodservice, brewing and food & beverage.
There is a general recognition that equality is important to a successful and productive business and, although there are always improvements that can be made to progress equality, it is really positive that there has been an increase in female representation at board level and senior management level over recent years.
Emma Hounslea, HR Manager, at Kersia UK, said:
“To further raise awareness of diversity, equality and inclusion the whole of the Kersia team were encouraged to wear purple on International Women’s Day. We are proud of the work we are carrying out and look forward to further progress being made.”
